The person behind the books
Meet Nora Strand
Nora Strand is an occupational therapist and a mother of two daughters. She has spent more than 25 years working with children and their families, helping create opportunities for good communication.
She has made storybooks for her own children around hospital visits, moving house and unsettled nights. She believes in giving children clear information, taking their worries seriously, and making room for them to express what they feel.
In her series, A Story for That, the approach is simple: make the moment small, concrete and calm. A room to say goodbye to. A bear to hold. A familiar bed in a new house. Short stories, told by the child, with practical notes for the grown-up reading beside them.

What does personalised mean?
The audio story uses the situation, worries and interests you describe, with vocabulary and length guided by your child's age. It follows a different character, rather than naming your child or making them the protagonist. Their first name is used in the order summary.
Who writes and narrates the audio?
Eira uses AI for both writing and narration. Its story instructions set the character, age range and language, and tell it to avoid frightening content, lectures and promises about what will happen. Each order is generated automatically; it is instructed by Nora, but not individually reviewed by her.
Listen to the sample to get a feel for the voice and approach. These are stories for comfort and preparation, not medical or therapeutic advice.
How long is a story, and which languages can I choose?
The writing is shorter for younger children and longer for older children. Listening time varies with the story and language; the English sample above is about four minutes.
The order form offers English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Portuguese. The sample demonstrates the English narration.
When will it arrive, and how do I keep it?
Stories usually arrive within minutes of payment. Please allow up to 2 hours. The delivery email links to a listening page and an MP3 download. Save the MP3 to your device to keep and replay it.

What if the story isn't right for us?
Email us within 3 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. If we cannot deliver the story, we'll refund your payment. Read the terms.
Are the picture books personalised too?
No. The picture books are published stories in English, made to read together. New House, Same Bear is a 32-page paperback for ages 2–5, with 24 story pages, notes for grown-ups and a drawing page. A Kindle edition is also available on Amazon ↗.
